New Maps & Map Reworks

We've added so many new maps to R5Reloaded in this update. Reworked all old maps including beloved map Drop-Off and others.

🌌 Battleroyale Maps

  • World’s Edge S3 Variants
    • Holiday Bash Variant: Original S3 World's Edge with Mirage Voyage town takeover.
    • Christmas Battleroyale Variant: Original S3 World's Edge with Holiday Decorations.
    • Winter Express Variant: Fully reworked and now available.
  • World’s Edge S6
    • Season 6 World's Edge map with a lot of new POI's and features!
    • New POIs: Launch Site, Countdown, Staging
    • Features: Moving blast walls and reworked loot zones
  • King's Canyon S5
    • Two variants of Season 5 King's Canyon, fully reworked and ready to host the battle.
    • POIs: Salvage, Offshore Rig, Capacitor
    • Town Takeover Variant: Crypto's Map Room

    • Beloved season 7 map Olympus is now in R5Reloaded!

NEW SEASONAL THEME AND LOBBY

  • Main Menu now features Loba and Revenant with season 4 background
  • Lobby map has been replaced with season 4 version
  • Entire lobby ui has been reworked. We kept the og Apex feeling with new features like freeroam server creator
  • New credits panel, thank you for your contribution!
  • Cosmetic preview is now possible, you can view legend and weapon skins
    • Due to legal reasons, paid cosmetics are locked.

🧍‍♂️ New Legends (Preview)

Three new legends have been added to the roster — with varying levels of functionality.

  • 🦇 Revenant (Missing Effects)
    Fully functional and playable. Abilities, passives, and ultimate are working as expected. Time to silence some squads.
  • 💎 Loba (Abilities Disabled)
    Available for selection, but her tactical and ultimate are currently disabled. Movement and base interactions are functional.
  • 🛡️ Rampart (Abilities Disabled)
    Selectable and fully animated, but Sheila and Amped Cover are not yet enabled. Still fun to run around with.

🔫 Titanfall Weapon Ports

We've expanded the arsenal with a full suite of fan-favorite Titanfall weapons, each carefully ported and integrated into R5Reloaded. Whether you're after explosive mayhem or pinpoint precision, there's something new to master.

  • EPG: Charge up devastating plasma shots; great for area denial and direct impact damage.
  • SideWinder: High-rate micro-missile launcher, excellent for sustained pressure and suppressing targets.
  • Archer: Titan-locking missile launcher, now repurposed for heavy anti-vehicle or anti-personnel use.
  • Softball: Sticky grenade launcher with a delayed fuse—stick it and watch them scramble.
  • CAR SMG: Fast-firing and ultra-stable, ideal for close-quarters dominance.
  • MGL: Multi-grenade launcher offering explosive suppression at medium range.
  • Cold War: Charged energy burst SMG with heavy projectile spread and unique firing arc.
  • Thunderbolt:Fires electric bolts that arc to nearby enemies or equipment—great for disrupting clustered opponents.
  • Smart Pistol: Lock-on sidearm with auto-targeting—lethal in the right hands.
  • Arc Tool: Utility weapon capable of disabling traps, opening doors, or frying enemies up close.
  • Wingman Elite: Precision revolver with heavy damage per shot—deadly for sharpshooters.
  • R-101 Assault Rifle: Balanced automatic rifle with solid damage, accuracy, and versatility.
  • Proximity Mine: Deployable explosive that detonates on enemy approach.
  • Satchel Charge: Throwable explosives you can remotely detonate for tactical ambushes.

🛠️ Apex Legends Weapon Ports

Two classic Apex weapons return in full form, reimagined for R5Reloaded. Featuring updated visuals, full lobby support, and cosmetic integration.

  • 🧲 Charm support added.
  • 🛋️ Lobby preview now fully supports the Volt SMG, Sentinel, 3030 and Bow, including idle animations and cosmetics.
  • 🔧 Fixed optics alignment and iron sight accuracy.

⚡ Volt SMG

  • Fully ported and functional with Season 6 assets.
  • ✅ Updated weapon models, materials, and animations to match Season 6.
  • 🎨 Includes all Season 6 Volt SMG cosmetics for the skin preview menu.

🎯 Sentinel Sniper Rifle

  • Fully ported and functional with Season 4 assets.
  • ✅ Updated weapon models, materials, and animations to match Season 4.
  • 🎨 Includes all Season 4 Sentinel cosmetics for the skin preview menu.

🎯 3030 Repeater

  • Currently unfinished, Firing Range access only.

🎯 Bocek Bow

  • Currently unfinished, Lobby preview only.

🤖 New & Updated NPCs

The world just got a lot more alive — and a lot more dangerous. New NPCs join the fight, while familiar threats from Apex have been reimagined with improved behavior and visuals.

🆕 New NPCs Added:

  • Plasma Drone: Fast-moving aerial unit armed with energy blasts.
  • Rocket Drone: Heavier drone variant equipped with guided rocket fire.
  • Titanfall Ship: Dropship entity ported from Titanfall; ideal for immersive world events or cinematic sequences.

🔧 NPC Improvements & Reworks:

  • Prowlers and Ticks: AI behavior adjusted to better replicate their original Apex Legends movement and aggression.
  • Infected Pilots and Spiders: Visual overhaul with updated model materials and texture fidelity.

🎯 Game Modes & Systems

This update brings big changes to the Firing Range, Training Mode, and Aim Trainer. Everything's more polished, more useful, and closer to the retail experience.

🧪 Firing Range Rework

A full overhaul of the Firing Range brings it closer to the retail experience with new features, quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes, a lot of bug fixes.

New Additions

  • 🎯 Original Folding & Moving Targets
    • Classic targets are back! Practice your aim with dynamic and nostalgic firing range layout.
  • 🔄 Third-Person Mode Toggle
    • Now you can switch between first-person and third-person view on the fly.
  • 📦Retail-Like Loot System
    • The firing range now uses a dedicated loot datatable. This removes any custom weapon from the Firing Range
  • 🔫 New Ammo Racks
    • Added racks for Sniper and crate weapons.
  • Charge Tower
    • Recharge your ultimate quickly just like in retail Firing Range.

Quality of Life Improvements

  • 🔁 Auto Respawn System
    • Get back into action faster without manually respawning.
  • 🗑️ Removed Unused Content
    • Cleaned up fake platforms and unnecessary teleport buttons.
      OG firing range aim trainer has been removed.

Map Update

  • 🗺️ Updated Firing Range Map (Season 14 Version)

Bug Fixes

  • 🐞 General fixes and improvements.
    • Loot now disappear when dropped.
    • Removed all the custom weapons and content.
    • Updated dev menu for firing range.

🎓 Training Mode Rework

  • Fixed progression, input registration, and missing content

🎮 Aim Trainer

  • Added support for all maps
  • Replaced legend NPCs with dummy targets for better hitboxes

🔋 Charge Tower System Overhaul

  • Charge time matches retail

🧰 General Improvements

Tons of under-the-hood work across the board — cleaner UI, better tools, more options, and a bunch of long-standing bugs finally squashed.

LOBBY REWORK

The lobby has been fully redone. New tools, better visuals, and a few fun extras to mess around with. It’s based on Season 3 code now, so things run smoother and feel more solid.

  • Server Browser and Server Creater remade from scratch.
  • A new "Credits" panel added for R5Reloaded contributors.
  • Instead custom codes, this new lobby is now based on original Season 3 Codes.
  • Apex pack simulator added for your gambling needy, enjoy the loots you will never have.
  • Improved cosmetic system (Preview only — no equipping)
  • Updated map icons, images, and lobby background (new DoF, BIK videos etc)
  • “Return to Main Menu” button added for PC players.
  • Title art now features Wraith & Revenant.
  • Lobby map is now based on Season 4.
  • New weapon category: Marksman

⚙️ Developer Tools

  • Reworked Developer Menu
    • Added “Switch to Shadow Squad” toggle
    • Added New section for Titanfall weapons
    • Added NPC menus (enemy/friendly)
    • Reworked Equip Weapon panel.
    • A few more additions and changes.

🔉 Audio & Localization

  • Audio system upgraded to Season 14.
  • R5Reloaded now supports for all Apex Legends languages.
    • Other languages can be downloaded from the launcher settings.
    • To set a language, use the launch command "-language"
  • Multiple bug fixes for incorrect or missing audio.

🎨 Cosmetics & Visuals

  • Entire cosmetic preview system added back.
  • New Fan Made Skin System:
    • New rarity: FANMADE
    • New free skin: Flatline - Vital Surge
    • New free skin: Wattson - Cherry Charge
  • Added missing charm system support.
  • New smoke grenade model.
  • Removed Volt SMG muzzle flash.
  • Fixed various lighting, shadow, and banner frame issues.

  • Fixed: Pathfinder ultimate given to wrong slot when equipped from the dev menu.
  • Fixed: Pain death sound system.
  • Fixed: Firing range asset precaching in other playlists
  • Fixed: Missing RUI panel on deathbox
  • Fixed: Wrong sound on different entities. (Loot Rollers etc.)
  • Fixed: Major bug breaking every animation event in the game.
    • This fixes a lot of old problems, as example finishers (Wraith teleport etc.). Audio events (Flyer scream and more)

📺 Visual & UI

  • Fixed: Missing models in multiple gamemodes.
  • Fixed: Olympus map icon and localization.
  • Fixed: Incorrect skydive animation if skydive starts while player is crouching.
  • Fixed: Missing skydive trail functions and skydive emotes.
  • Fixed: CAR SMG and Volt SMG icon.

🌍 Maps

  • Fixed: Wrong Winter Express map minimap.
  • Fixed: Streamed texture limit crash on Arenas & others
  • Fixed: Wrong timestamps on Season 3 calevents

📚 SDK & Engine

Engine

  • [MAJOR BUGFIX] Fixed an engine bug where PVS properly enabled, significantly impacting rendering performance
  • [MAJOR BUGFIX] Fixed an engine bug where world textures were credited by STBSP and GPU feedback simultaneously, significantly impacting rendering performance
  • [MAJOR BUGFIX] Fixed an engine bug where NavMesh files were not unloaded properly between level loads, causing lots of memory to leak
  • Fixed an engine bug where the Nucleus ID of a CClient instance wasn't nulled correctly on disconnect
  • Fixed an engine bug where remounting all paks would crash the game if the server was active

Security

  • [MAJOR BUGFIX] Fixed an engine vulnerability where networked entity handles can index out-of-bounds on game clients
  • [MAJOR BUGFIX] Fixed an SDK regression where the buffer overflow protection for the RCON protocol was no longer working as intended

Game DLL

  • Fixed a gameserver bug where the raycast function for NPC's were using the incorrect coordinate system
  • Fixed a gameserver bug where straight path finding for NPC might fail depending on the angles for given path
  • Fixed a gameserver bug where querying polygons of a NavMesh in a large area might fail due to no room in buffer

SDK

  • Fixed a corner case in the SDK where RPak files with ZStd compression might load forever on slower I/O hardware
  • Fixed an SDK bug where compressed RPak files below 4MiB in decompressed size would overrun the allocated decode ring buffer
  • Fixed an SDK bug where the encryption of RCON packets might fail due to a buffer that is too large to generate an IV for
  • Fixed an SDK bug where the VGUI debug text were rendered twice
  • Fixed an SDK bug where debug overlays were given the incorrect overlay tick for client context
  • Fixed an SDK bug where the "connect" command in the ImGui server browser can have a non-unique ID, causing it to connect to the first server with the same ID
  • Fixed an SDK bug where the ImGui windows might flicker if we are behind a frame in the render thread
  • Fixed an SDK regression where the smartpistol laser was no longer working

Tools

  • Fixed incorrect page alignment padding in RePak, causing slab buffers to smash into another in the runtime
  • Fixed a bug in ReVPK causing the enable file to be not written if the build path didn't exist during VPK build
  • Fixed a bug in Recast causing dangling links in the NavMesh file after a prune pass due to incorrect flags on dead off-mesh connections

New Features

  • Implemented per-level, per-playlist mod RPak loading
  • Finished the rest of the ModSystem, allowing for all files to be loaded from mod directories
  • Server FPS clamping is now optional through cvar server_fps_clampToTicks
  • Many primitive debug draw functions have been added to the game, and many of the broken ones have been restored!
  • Debug text overlay is now available through cvar enable_debug_text_overlays

Improvements

  • Significantly improved performance of the debug logger
  • Upgraded Miles Sound Engine to the latest version available (10.0.62)

📝 Miscellaneous

  • Portable Respawn Beacons added to loot pool (grenade slot)
  • New free to use Music Packs and Fan Made Loadscreens
  • Dash Ability added (dev-controlled via var list):
    • dodge_dash_enabled, infinite_dash_enabled, etc.
  • Marksman weapons now supported (G7 Scout, Triple Take)
  • Updated all weapon values to match latest Apex season
  • New map loadscreens and HUD icons
  • Mini framework added for Custom Badges (WIP)
  • Fixed a large number of localization errors
  • Fixed server crash on out-of-range camo index
  • Added new revive animation for Shadows
  • General script rework and optimization.
  • Improved error messaging system.
  • Improved script for spawn placement using advanced collision.
  • Fixed: Couple memory leaks from there and there.

You will notice some old gamemodes like "Halo" won't work anymore due to lack of maintanence from it's authors. These gamemodes will be fixed in the future if they get fixed.
